Tech Week

Technology

As part of Tech Week sixth class are working on projects in groups on the importance of technology in our world today. Thursday April 28th is Tech Day and we will present our project to students, teachers and parents.

The project which we are doing is about coding and animations. We recently found out that learning code and using technology are really important to us and to our lives today.

Another group are doing a project about space technology. They have learnt that some of the things we use here on earth are influenced from space technology, they were originally designed for use in space.

Other groups are doing medical technology, communication, technology in sport, technology through reading and technology in airplanes.

We are using Google Drive to create our projects for Tech Week. We are using Google Slides for our presentation and Google Forms to do our quizzes. We can each share our projects with our group members and teacher. This allows each member to work on the project remotely at home at the same time and our teacher can view our projects and give us feedback on how we can improve them.

There will be lots of hands-on activities as part of Tech Day such as Skype video calling, interactive polls, coding sessions, digital animations, video making using a greenscreen, virtual reality glasses and digital art sessions.
