Maths Week Ireland ran from October 10th to 18th. Scoil Mhuire participated in the Mangahigh Maths Week Challenge for the fifth year in a row. After winning this competition for the past three years, we finished in fifth place on the leader board this year. Mangahigh awarded a medal to each child who earned over 100 points during Maths Week 2015. Thirty six students in Scoil Mhuire achieved this and they were presented with their medals at an awards ceremony in January. Mariam Robutu, Fifth Class, was the first student in Scoil Mhuire to reach this target. Mariam earned 724 points for her school. Leah Dunne, Fifth Class, finished in second place with 685 points while Jessica Cable, Sixth Class, achieved 552 points and was awarded third place in the school. The top ten schools on the Maths Week leader board won a pizza party for their top performing class. Ms Bohan's Sixth Class were the winners of this prize!
Mariam Robutu, Leah Dunne, Jessica Cable, Bec McCarthy and Soria Israr finished within the top five on the school leaderboard in the Mangahigh Maths Week competition.
