Maths Week

Maths Week Ireland ran from Saturday 15th until Sunday 23rd of October. This year saw the return of the Mangahigh Maths Week Challenge. Over 500 schools across Ireland competed in a national online math competition. Scoil Mhuire finished in sixth place, with students earning a total of 20,943 points. Congratulations to Miriam Robutu, Sixth Class, who earned the highest points in Scoil Mhuire for the second year in a row. She was followed closely by Orla Murphy, Fifth Class, along with Georgia Jeremiah and Jennifer Watters, Sixth Class. Miriam and Orla both featured on the Mangahigh top ten student leader board, finishing in eighth and tenth place respectively. Both girls won an Amazon voucher for themselves and the school was awarded an Amazon voucher for finishing within the top ten schools in Ireland. Any child who earned over 150 points during Maths Week will receive a medal from Mangahigh.
