Green School

In May 2009 we were awarded our 2nd Green Flag. This time our theme was Energy and its Conservation. We also had to show that we were continuing with our efforts on Litter and Waste.

The Committee did a survey to see how energy was being used in the school. They also monitored each class to see how each class might save electricity.

To help prevent wasting of electricity each class appointed monitors who made sure lights and electrical equipment were switched off when not in use. They also checked all doors especially at break-times to ensure they were closed so as to prevent heat loss.
